Poor slum dweller’s health awareness largely affected by lack of education and information that stop them to go to the trained doctors and better services. Further they get doubly affected because of poor living conditions with inadequate preventive health facilities and lack of sufficient curative healthcare.
Slums are considered the major issue within many urban areas; particularly transportation, population, health, and safety. Considering today’s poor urban environmental quality in India, most families affected by urban development projects are located in slum areas under consideration for resettlement or rehabilitation.
